ECOMix® Revolution supports efficient and reliable concentrate utilization directly at the renal care center. The mixing process runs autonomously in the background and requires only minimal user interaction.
Reduced waste generation is supported by the use of reusable ECOCarts with dry powder concentrate. During operation, the powder is dissolved and mixed with reverse osmosis water within a closed system. Soft pressure technology enables mixing at nearly zero water pressure, reducing mechanical stress on system components and allowing repeated reuse of the cartridge.
A peer reviewed scientific research conducted at the University Medical Center Utrecht analyzed the CO₂ emissions for acid concentrate supply following the medical center’s switch to ECOMix®. The study showed that ECOMix® reduced the centers’ carbon emissions for acid concentrate supply by 58% compared to the former supply in conventional HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) single-use canisters.¹ The reduction in this study referred to lower transport weight, reduced packaging, and cartridge reuse.²
Reliable handling and error reduction are supported by integrated safety mechanisms. A smart coupling enables intuitive plug-and-play connection and helps prevent leakages, while RFID technology automatically identifies the connected concentrate type. If an incorrect ECOCart is connected, the system does not start, reducing handling errors without additional manual checks.
Consistent concentrate quality and regulatory clarity are supported by automated, patented density measurement within a closed, calibrated, and validated process.
